Some Basic Combos Notes to get started with Another Kyô

100 Shiki Oni Yaki can be "super canceled" : before Another Kyô starts leaping (between 1st and 2nd hit), perform any super move. This cancel has no malus.
75 Shiki Kai - modified can be chained into more or less anything.
Normal moves chains basically go that way : lp->lk->[hp OR hk], including crouch moves, you can skip any attack but not go backward ; then any normal move can be chained into a command move, then a special, a hyper, heavy normals into supers.
Also, close light moves can't be chained into far heavy moves. This system is close to Justice Gakuen's Textbook Combo. There's only the "Command Move" version of the Oboro Guruma that can't be chained into anything, naturally (he's in mid-air...)
Against fireball madness, use hcb plus the appropriate kick button to punish those cheap asses as fast as that.
Cancel the Kamijiri.Fukanzen into the Nettetsu when you have 3 power levels...
Hikigane and its 3 variations have some combos hidden. Heavy version (Gun Spark) can be chained into Kurodori (with tight command buffering), light and medium can be chained into Ara Gami, Doku Gami, Gun spark, light can be chained into Oni Yaki and most supers... (any super but the Kamijiri, actually)

Random shit for crazy guys

In japanese mythology, the number 108 has a particular meaning. You might have seen it other things like Saint Seiya (Hades' 108 Evil Stars, and Shaka's 108 beads rosary), in Gensô Suikoden (the 108 Heavenly Stars) or Shaman King (the 1080 beads rosary, for which the explaination is utterly idiot I might add... To multiply the power by 10, how stupid...) in japanimation, and surely other things, like martial arts and, last but not least, religion.
108 is the number of sins, and also the number of purifications for those sins. In Kyô's background, you see 2 of his techniques are called Sin Chant and Punishment Chant, the second following the first, that's probably not a coincidence. And his trademark moves, the Yami Barai and Orochinagi, are labelled 108. There.
Now for the Koto Tsuki.Yô, "yô" is the other reading of "yang" (as in Yin and Yang), which is "positive" ; of course, Iori's version is Koto Tsuki. In, where "in" is "yin" ("negative"). I don't get the "koto moon" part, though (a koto being a japanese harp). Plain poetry maybe, who knows.
I don't know anything about the other moves names/numbers.
About the "That's not what History says" taunt after a successful Lv1 Mu Shiki hit, it probably refers to Susano'o defeating Orochi, with the sword of Kusanagi (in SNK storyline - see below) since the Mu Shiki is SNK's image of that Kusanagi no Tsurugi.

About the "One of the Three Sacred Weapons" part.
The sword, symbol of strength, is indeed one of the usual three treasures of the empire, along with the jewels (known as Yasakani no Magatama), symbol of beauty, and the mirror (Yata no Kagami) that reveals one's true nature.
The Kusanagi no Tsurugi, Sword of Kusanagi (originally called Ame no MuraKumo no Tsurugi, Sword of the Clustering Rain Clouds) was found by Susano'o, god of War, Thunder and Oceans (enough already ?) inside the giant serpent Yamata no Orochi which he had just slayed. As for KoF, SNK just said that Kyô's ancestor defeated Orochi with his sword.
Susano'o was brother to Amaterasu, goddess of the Sun, and Tsukuyomi, god of the Moon. In SNK's storyline, that's where the emblems of Kusanagi and Yagami families are from. And so, in SNK's storyline, Kagura Chizuru, Yagami Iori and Kusanagi Kyô hold the 3 sacred weapons/treasures.

Kyô versus Another Kyô

Hmm, CvS2 Kyô got a... different gameplay in CvS2 as compared to KoF. For the most noticeable parts, the full removal of the RED kick horizontal range was the price to also get the old Oboro Guruma into the mix as far ranged anti-air, and the qcf+P still didn't get their autoblock properties back. Oh well, he's still playable. Anyway, here's something totally different. This isn't CvS Kyô, but this isn't KoF Kyô either.

Another Kyô seems to be a lost clone who survived the destruction of NESTS. No one knows his purpose, his life or his way of thinking.
->Note : what's next is my own version. Random day-dreaming spotted.
So this Another Kyô would rely a bit less on the flames of the Kusanagi clan and more on his fighting instinct, basically using more explosions. He looses some strenght in the process, but can use more raw power when needed. Weaker than the original Kyô but with instincts that can turn him somehow berserk when pissed off, some of the moves he kept from Kyô are a bit less powerful, but his highest level makes him look quite violent. From an Lv1 to Lv2 of the same super, damages don't change too much, but Lv3 turns much more powerful .
As he tweaked the Kusanagi arts of fighting, he gave up some moves, modified some others and made up the rest to fit his tastes. The complete list of his abilities makes him technically invincible as long as he masters his art, since he can face any possible situation in fight by using at least 1 move, be it about attack or defense.
Now, Another Kyô wanders around, without any specific purpose other than survive and fight, he doesn't really care about Kyô, Iori or K', though he likes meeting Kyô for a fight or 2, since they turn out to be good sparring partners to each other, knowing each other's weak point.
... Now don't ask me why Kyô still has his high school outfit when he's supposed to be more than 20 in the NESTS era. In CvS he still hasn't graduated.
